He has faced physical assaults including urine and glue thrown at him at LSE protests. He has appeared on Fox News, IBTimes UK, and Adam Yosef's YouTube channel. Rupert Lowe MP

Project Britannia explicitly encourages its followers to vote for Restore Britain candidates and promote tactical voting for right-wing candidates. Project Britannia shares a graphic designer/layout artist with Restore Britain, suggesting close organisational ties. Lowe's Restore Britain party provides the political vehicle that Project Britannia's campus activism feeds into.

Lowe was elected as Reform UK MP for Great Yarmouth in 2024 before splitting to found Restore Britain as a pressure group (June 2025), then a political party (Feb 2026).

Controversies

TPUK Suspension (Late 2025)

In late 2025, Young Bob was suspended from his position in Turning Point UK after HOPE not hate revealed disparaging comments he had made about the organisation and its COO, Nick Tenconi. The undercover investigation, published as "Revealed: what Young Bob really thinks of Nick Tenconi, Turning Point UK, and Tommy Robinson's inner circle," showed Moffitt describing Tenconi's operation as "Nick's little grift" and claiming he only attended UKIP rallies under duress ("because he has to 'report' on them").

The suspension exposed internal tensions between Project Britannia's campus-focused brand and the wider UKIP/Tenconi network it was affiliated with.

Arrests

Young Bob has been arrested multiple times during his activism:

Birmingham arrest (2025): Arrested ahead of a UKIP rally per Searchlight Magazine, which described him as "a young man of far-right persuasions" and "a fixture of this fringe fascist outfit."
Epping arrest (2025): Held overnight by Essex Police after covering Epping protests. Rebel News launched a legal defence crowdfund and retained lawyer Tana Adelman (who previously represented Tommy Robinson). The arrest was publicised under the slogan "Save Young Bob!"
Breach of the Peace: Additional arrest during protest activity (details limited).

LSE Protest (2025)

At the London School of Economics, Young Bob faced violent protests while attempting to promote Charlie Kirk's legacy. According to his account (corroborated by Fox News and IBTimes UK):

UKIP Sheffield Rally (November 2025)

Young Bob was present at Nick Tenconi's UKIP rally in Sheffield, which was met by 800-1,000 anti-fascist counter-protesters. Searchlight Magazine reported that Moffitt complained of being "kettled by antifa" — but his "grievance was not with some lone public nuisance, but with around 800-1000 anti-fascist protestors." The rally resulted in seven arrests and was described as a "humiliation" for UKIP.

HOPE not hate Investigation

HOPE not hate conducted an undercover operation targeting Young Bob, producing a case file (Gregory Moffitt / AKA Young Bob) and a podcast episode ("What Young Bob really thinks"). The case file connects him to:

Disciples of Christ: A Christian activist group heavily influenced by Nick Tenconi, where Moffitt first gained prominence filming Speaker's Corner interviews
Turning Point UK: Where he served as an ambassador before suspension
Nick Tenconi's network: The UKIP leader and TPUK COO

The investigation was criticised by The Conservative Woman as a "sordid attempt to smear" a young activist, raising questions about HOPE not hate's tactics.

Far-Right Label and Policy Controversy

Project Britannia explicitly describes itself as creating "the next generation of nationalists" and its founder advocates "remigration" — the forced return of migrants to their countries of origin. The organisation's policy platform includes an immediate abortion ban after 12 weeks and prioritising "British interests" in government policy. These positions have led anti-fascist groups (Searchlight, HOPE not hate) to categorise Project Britannia and its founder as part of the far-right.

Website Down (June 2026)

As of June 2026, projectbritannia.org is returning a Cloudflare 521 error (web server down). It is unclear whether this is a temporary hosting issue or reflects reduced organisational activity. The Instagram account (@projectbritanniacc) remains active.
