The fourth wave of YouGov's tracking poll on trans rights (fieldwork December 2024) reveals **growing scepticism across all demographics**, including previously permissive groups:

**Demographic shifts:** Among women — previously the most permissive group — support for legal gender change fell from 44% to 37%. Among 18-24 year olds — still most permissive — support fell from 57% to 50%, and opposition rose 16pts to 36%. **No demographic group** holds consistently pro-trans views across all questions.

**Even among supporters:** Only 32% of those who support both social and legal change think trans women should be in women's sports. Only 26% oppose the two-year GRC living requirement.

**Personal knowledge:** 38% of Britons know a trans person. Closer familiarity correlates with greater support, but even then, only 33% support trans women in women's sports.

3. **Schedule 3 EA 2010** (sex-segregated services) is **permissive, not mandatory** — trans-inclusive provision is often lawful and, where lawful, must be considered as a reasonable alternative to complete segregation
