 Celtic Alliance Position 
 Sympathetic but secondary to reunification. McDonald called for a "pan-Celtic anti-Tory political culture" in a speech to the Plaid Cymru conference in 2019 — the most direct endorsement of the Celtic Alliance concept by a major Irish party leader. 
 However, Sinn Féin's primary constitutional focus remains Irish reunification , not a multilateral Celtic union. Her position is best understood as tactical solidarity with fellow Celtic nationalist parties rather than a formal endorsement of Celtic integration.
